TMS Side Effects

Say goodbye to Nasty side effects

  • No Nasty Side Effects

TMS is a very safe, easy & effective treatment with little to no side effects. While antidepressants might cause weight gain, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, feeling like a ‘zombie’, fatigue, or gastrointestinal issues, the most common side effects of TMS are a slight headache or mild discomfort at the treatment site. Both of these side effects are temporary and subside within the first week of treatment. A majority of patients report no side effects whatsoever.

  • Non-invasive and Drug-Free

TMS is a non-invasive treatment that doesn’t require any medication or surgery. This can be particularly appealing if you’re concerned about the systemic side effects of antidepressants or prefer not to take medication

  • Improved Cognitive Function

TMS patients report improvements in concentration, motivation & memory. TMS provides clarity while some antidepressants can cause drowsiness or ‘brain fog’

  • No Need for Anesthesia Or Hospitalization

Unlike Shock Therapy (ECT), TMS is an outpatient treatment conducted in our comfortable, spa-like office and doesn’t require anesthesia. Patients can drive themselves to and from the office and resume their daily activities immediately after a session

  • Research-Backed

TMS has been researched extensively and is FDA-approved for the treatment of depression. TMS technology has been around since the 1980s. In the late 2000s, Insurance companies saw the benefits of TMS and began offering it to their patients as a covered benefit 🙂
